IT is the highest mountain in the British Isles and stands more than 4,000ft above sea level - but Ben Nevis is not threatening to eight-year-old Paul Jepson and his younger brother Max, aged six.

The brothers are determined to climb the country's highest mountain next month to raise money for the special care baby unit at Barnsley Hospital and Macmillan.

Mum Gemma said: "They are both kind and thoughtful boys and this was all their own idea so we are very proud and doing everything we can to be supportive."

Anyone willing to sponsor Paul and/or Max can log onto the Just Giving website and search for teams/road to Ben Nevis for more information.
