A BUCKET collection at a Barnsley FC match managed to raise more than £1,000 to help people who are receiving treatments for cancer.

Staff and volunteers from The Well at The Core in Barnsley took part in a bucket collection around Oakwell during the Barnsley vs Bradford match in January where supporters from both teams chipped in.

All together from the collection a total of £1,155.28 was raised which will go to The Well to carry on the work they do.

The Well is a place where cancer patients are offered beauty therapies such as acupuncture, a range of massages, hand and feet waxing, manicures, pedicure, spray tans, reflexology and reiki to help them during their treatment period.
