A BUILDING firm believes a professional criminal outfit was behind the theft of its one tonne dumper trucks and is warning others to be vigilant.

Neil Stones, who runs runs N Stones Builders which specialises in disabled adaptions, says the firm is £12,500 out of pocket after the bright yellow high-lift plant machinery was nicked from a job the firm was working on in Cross Street, Monk Bretton.

The Thwaites-brand of heavy duty kit, which was stolen on January 29 between 6pm and 6.30pm, was fitted with a specialist satellite tracking device which was ripped out by whoever drove the dumper away and later threw it in a field to prevent it from being traced.”
