A BUNGLED break-in captured on CCTV at a car dealership was a ‘pathetic attempt’ according to the boss of the business.
High-quality footage of the incident, which happened at 1am on Sunday, shows two people kicking their way into the offices of Signature Cars Yorkshire, based on Lambra Road, Barnsley, and what ensues is ‘laughable’ says dealership director Stuart Cameron.
The recording shows one of the intruders frantically running around the office opening doors and cupboards, while the other appears clueless as to what to do. At one point they bump into each other during the goofed attempt before legging it out of the building as the alarm sounds.
Stuart said: “It was a pathetic effort of a break-in and quite comical when you watch the video. It’s quite good footage we’ve got on the CCTV.
“It was a complete poor effort.”
