A NUMBER of local businesses have been nominated for a prestigious Yorkshire-based business award.
The Yorkshire Choice Awards recognises and celebrates local people and independent businesses that are seen as an inspiration in their field.
The local nominees for Barnsley this year are: Gareth Derbyshire (businesman), FareShare Yorkshire and Les Cadeaux (charitable business), Old George Coffee Shop (customer service), Claire Gelder and Paul Atwal-Brice, (inspirational individual), Claire Gelder, Kayla Kavanagh and Lisa Walker (business woman), Crafty Kids (independent business), Wool Couture (new starter business), Chris Scarfe (Kate Granger for outstanding contribution.
Voting closes on Friday March 1 on the Yorkshire Choice Awards website.
