A CAR on a quiet road in Barnsley was destroyed by fire during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The car, the make of which is not known, was reported to be on fire in Rowland Road, Old Town, at around 2.55am.
Firefighters from Barnsley were quickly on the scene to deal with the situation and able to return to the station after about half an hour.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the cause of the blaze had been deliberate.
