THERE are pies and then there are extraordinary out of this world competition winning pies - and that is exactly what Carl Barma baked.

The 28-year-old didn’t use one or two ingredients in his prize winning pie - he gave it the Full Monty.

Carl produced a layered breakfast pie to win great BIADS Pie Competition staged during the Cannon Hall food festival last weekend.

That meant precise layers of sausage meat, mushrooms, black pudding, bacon, tomato chutney and eggs all carefully wrapped in his home made pastry.

Incredibly Carl, of Honeywell Close, Barnsley, has only made the pie just once - on the day he entered it into the competition and it won first place.
