THE legacy of the music tutor who nurtured the talents of two of the Arctic Monkeys will live on in Barnsley through a charity set up in his name.

Richard Tolson, 40, who was head of music and performing arts at Barnsley College, died last September after suffering from an aggressive rare cancer.

A charity called 'EnRich is being set up in his name to support performing arts and creative arts activities in the town by offering small grants.

Rich, who was posthumously awarded a Proud of Barnsley Award for exceptional achievement, had been a lecturer at the college for 18 years and was known to many as 'Rich T', including the Arctic Monkeys lead singer Alex Turner and drummer Matt Helders, whose talents he nurtured.
