IT was truly a lightbulb moment when Ryan Loxley came up with a fundraising idea for homeless soldiers.

Ryan, 30, has put on a Christmas charity light show outside his family home in Cobcar Street, Elsecar. Months in the planning, the spectacular show has been christened 'Cobcar Christmas lights'.

Rob, who works at Lightmain in Wath, spent a small fortune on a big pyramid Christmas tree and smaller trees covered in flashing lights. He has also synchronised the whole display to festive music.

He puts on the show for 20 minutes every evening at 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The show started on December 7 and has been pulling in fans eager to dip their hands in their pockets. It will run until the new year.
