STUDENTS from Barnsley College have been acknowledged for their outstanding achievements at the annual Barnsley College Excellence Awards.
The awards ceremony, held at Barnsley Metrodome, saw a total of 27 awards presented, including ones for each college department and cross college awards such as apprentice of the year, adult learner of the year, youth achievement and youth progress.
On the night the overall achievement award was presented to a student selected from all those who won an award during the evening and this year’s overall winner was 17-year-old Rhys Proud, from Royston.
