WELL-WISHERS have helped raise more than £4,500 towards IVF treatment for a Cudworth couple unable to conceive naturally.
Lifesaving chemotherapy left Laura Pye, of Barnsley Road, unable to get pregnant. She and husband Chris have tried IVF five times and had no money left for a sixth attempt - it costs £6,000.
But pledges have flooded in on their 'Making Baby Pye' fund-raising page and others have organised charity events. Chris has even been making statues out of recycled tyres to raise funds.
"I just can't believe the amount of support. It's just amazing," said Laura, 31.
Lakis Fish Bar opened especially on Sunday with all profits to the couple - it raised £555.
