A WOMBWELL toddler who suffers from a rare brain condition is finally able to play outside with help from a local company.

Alfie Ledgeway, three, from West Street, suffers from Chiari malformation, a condition which means his brain is being pushed towards his spinal cord, causing constant headaches, balance and eyesight problems.

Alfie's condition left him so fragile it wasn't safe for him to play outside - until John Elliott, a field manager for Manvers company Buy As You View, met Alfie and his family on a house visit and was inspired to help them out.

John's fundraising has led to soft outdoor flooring being installed in Alfie's garden. Buy As You View also donated an iPad for Alfie to play on during his frequent hospital visits.
