A FORMER soldier who suffered flashbacks to his time in the army was found hanged at his home by police.

David Laing, 48, of Wharncliffe Street, Barnsley, was found on July 30 and died in hospital the next day.

A post mortem revealed the cause of death to be hanging.

Assistant coroner Louise Slater said she was satisfied Mr Laing had taken his own life and offered her condolences to his family.
