Barnsley will not conduct contract negotiations until the season ends.

Discussions usually take place at this time of year but the Reds are focusing on their push for the League One play-offs.

Chief executive Ben Mansford told the Chronicle: "We have told the players that contract negotiations will take place at the end of the season and they all understand that.

"The board and head coach Lee Johnson are constantly monitoring the squad and planning for the future but we don't want to do anything that will detract from our current momentum."

Leroy Lita, on loan to Notts County, is out of contract at the end of the season as are Jean Yves M'voto, Lewin Nyatanga, Martin Cranie, Kane Hemmings, Rhys Oates, Nana Boakye-Yiadom and George Maris. Adam Davies and Mason Holgate have both triggered re-negotiations of their current deals, which expire in 2016, due to number of games played.
