AT the moment it is an ordinary bland and boring concrete wall - but as part of the Better Barnsley plans the huge Harborough Hill retaining wall at the edge of the CEAG site could be getting a whole new facelift.

The site, at the side of the railway line, will be used to create a new car park as part of the £50m town centre regeneration project.

But the wall could become a huge lighting feature.

The design team involved in Better Barnsley is looking at the potential to create a feature light wall on the imposing 12 metre-high wall.

The idea is to use the channels in the concrete to create an illuminated wall.
