GOLDEN wedding anniversaries are no longer rare and more and more couples even reach the 60th or diamond celebrations.
But there are few who get to the blue sapphire 65th wedding anniversary.
That was the milestone enjoyed yesterday by Arthur and Joyce Brice who were married at St Helen’s, Thurnscoe, on March 24 1951
Joyce, 86, said she knew when she met Arthur at a dance at Paddies in Goldthorpe in the late 1940s, that he was ‘the one’.
