Barnsley will kick off their League One campaign at home to Crawley Town on August 9.

 

The Reds will then host Crewe in the League Cup on Tuesday August 12 before travelling to Crewe in the league four days later.

 

The Christmas games are away at Preston on Boxing Day, at home to Oldham on December 28 and Scunthorpe away on January 3.

 

The Reds will host local rivals Sheffield United on Easter Saturday, April 4, before making the long trip to Essex to play Colchester on Easter Monday. The away match at Bramall Lane is on November 1.

 

Barnsley host Doncaster on September 6 and visit the Keepmoat Stadium on January 17. They will visit Chesterfield on November 22 and are at home to the Spireites on April 11.

 

The final game of the season is at home to Rochdale, managed by ex-Barnsley boss Keith Hill, on May 2.
