A SOPHISTICATED gang of criminals stole about £2,000 from an unsuspecting Tesco shopper in a cruel debit card scam.
Coral Taylor had just put her shopping and handbag in her car in Tesco's car park at Stairfoot when she was approached by a couple who were asking directions to Doncaster.
She had no idea the couple had been communicating with a man inside the store wearing an earpiece who had sneakily watched her enter her PIN number at the checkout moments earlier, and another man who went into her bag and stole her card while she tried to help the couple with directions.
