A CUDWORTH couple who lost their daughter to meningitis have vowed to continue raising awareness of the deadly virus.
Thursday marks the first anniversary of Mia Barton Bright’s death, the 18-month-old who died just hours after a rash appeared on her body.
Mum Becky Barton and dad Matthew Bright have since raised more than £20,000 for charity Meningitis Now with sponsored walks, skydives and fundraising events.
Becky told the Chronicle that the couple, of Bretton View, will mark the anniversary by letting off a balloon in Mia’s memory - but the pair’s quest to raise awareness will continue.
