A CUDWORTH school has received a top award after more than a year of sporting success.
Churchfield Primary’s athletes have had a stellar year in county-wide tournaments in athletics, basketball, football and netball and returned to the village with a clutch of medals.
But their triumph in the prestigious Yorkshire Primary PE Awards, which recognises the best examples of sport being implemented into a school’s curriculum, is the cherry on the cake, according to PE teacher Jonathan Bean.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
