CUSTOMERS at the Fitzwilliam Arms in Elsecar were crying into their beer to hear that popular licensees Stephen and Sharon Challoner are leaving.
The couple have been at the 'Fitz' for six years but in that time have transformed it with a major refurbishment that saw the pub almost double in size.
Last February they created a new 60-seater restaurant and also invested in a log-burning pizza oven, function room, climbing frame and barbecue area.
The couple leave on Saturday April 18.
