A SEALED plastic box with 'Please Help' and the name of a man who died in 2006 written on it has left a Darton family mystified after it was left at the top of their drive.

Jill Thompson and her family, who live at Highwood Farm on Huddersfield Road, discovered the box last week, along with a purple ribbon, flowers and a silver-coloured cross tied around a tree.

Inside the box is a rail ticket for Bottmingen Station, Switzerland, which was issued on September 11 last year at 11am.

"It was my son-in-law who found it all and we decided to open the box," said Jill, a local businesswoman who owns Bargain Booze on Barnsley Road.

"Inside it only had what looks like a train ticket and a piece of paper saying 'Michael Parker, Dec. 2006, Lost his life here'.

"But we've lived here for about 24 years have only known of two deaths on this road and definitely not this one. We don't remember anyone of that name.

"It just seems very strange and we were wondering if readers might be able to help.

"It's all been nicely written and sealed and someone has obviously taken their time to do it."
