Barnsley have offered contracts to goalkeepers Adam Davies and Jake Greatorex as well as winger Ryan Hedges.

The Reds have released Adam Jackson and Lloyd Isgrove while they have decided not to take up their option to keep Zeki Fryers for a third year.

They have taken their option to sign right-back Dimitri Cavare for a third year.

Captain Davies was one of the star players in the promotion season which ended earlier this month while 19-year-old Greatorex is yet to play a first team game.

Under 23s offered new new deals are: Jordan Barnett, Amir Berkovits, Sam Fielding, Romal Palmer, Will Smith. Under 23s released are: Mateo Aramburu, Tai-Reece Chisholm, Dan McBeam, Elvis Otim, Cameron Simpson, Louis Walsh, Louis Wardle.

Winger Hedges, 23, has started five league games this summer while three quarters of his 52 appearances after signing in January 2017 were as a substitute.

Jackson, who turns 24 tomorrow, has played 44 games for the Reds after signing in 2017. He started 22 Championship games last season but only five in League One due to the form of Ethan Pinnock and Liam Lindsay.  Paul Heckingbottom, the former Barnsley head coach, has confirmed he is talking to Jackson about a move to Scottish Premier League club Hibernian.

Isgrove, 26, made two substitute appearances this season before being loaned out to Portsmouth.  Left-back Fryers, 26, only started three league matches this season.
