POLICE have launched an appeal for information following an incident in which two pedestrians sustained serious injuries in a hit and run.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was on Midland Road on August 30 at about 8pm.

Police say the grey BMW 320D, registration plate CK55 SVW, had failed to stop after colliding with the two pedestrians, a 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man.

A spokesperson said: “It is believed the occupants of the car had been involved in an argument with the pedestrians prior to the collision. Police have been making enquiries into the incident and are now appealing for information and witnesses.”
