A DISABLED Hoyland woman has been left with bins being emptied only once every two months because of problems with waste collectors overlooking her ‘assisted collection’ status.

Her status means binmen should take the bins from her garden rather than her putting them out each week.

The latest collection to be missed at Lynn Roquebrun’s home in Fearn House Crescent was her brown bin two weeks ago.

Her granddaughter Avril Squires said Barnsley Council had now introduced a policy that if a missed collection was not reported within 48 hours, it would be left until the next routine collection date.
