DISCOUNTED bus travel for youngsters is set to rise this month.
MiCard, a scheme for five to 18-year-olds on journeys starting and ending in Barnsley, or between Barnsley and other parts of South Yorkshire, will go from costing 40p to 50p on Sunday, May 24.
Transport chiefs also gave the green light for a further hike to the MiCard fare, from 50p to 60p per journey, planned for April 1, 2016.
