TWO talented young girls have had a great year so far, singing at Disneyland Paris and in performances with stars of X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

Amelia Shaw, eight, and Chelsea Fearns, 11, have just completed a four date tour with Rhydian from X Factor and Richard and Adam from Britain’s Got Talent as part of a choir providing backing vocals on their joint tour.

They both attend Stagecoach stage school in Pontefract and through their studies there they were also part of the 25th anniversary celebrations in Disneyland over the summer singing in front of the castle with Mickey Mouse. They also completed a dance show and took part in a pre-parade.

They are also doing a set of songs as part of the Christmas light switch on in Pontefract in November.

“They’re both so proud,” said Amelia’s mum, Georgina Shaw, 34, of Longman Road, Barnsley.

“Amelia’s been going to Stagecoach since she was three. She absolutely lives and breathes it.

“I’m so pour of both of them. They’re the only two from Barnsley. They’re both living my dream basically, because I wanted to be a performer when I was younger.”
