IMAGES of stolen jewellery have been issued by police in a bid to trace the owners.

On Friday, a man was arrested in Hoyland and items were recovered during the arrest.

The jewellery which is thought to have been stolen from Barnsley or the surrounding area.

A police spokesman said: “Two watches and what we believe to be a section of a broach, have been recovered following the arrest of a man.

“We are keen to trace the owner, or owners, of the items so we can rightfully reunite them with their property. Do you recognise any of the items? Do they belong to you?

“If you are the owner or have any information that will help us identify them, please call 101 quoting incident number 97 of June 7.”
