A PENISTONE doctor and her daughter are taking part in a triathlon to raise money in memory of two brothers who died in a house fire started deliberately by their father.

Helen Morris, a GP at Penistone Group Practice, will be joined by her daughter Lizzie for the 400m swim, 25k cycle and 5k run at Woodhall Spa.

They are taking part to raise money for Women’s Aid, after Claire Throssell was made the face of a campaign by the group to get children’s voices heard in the family courts.

Claire’s two sons Jack and Paul, 12 and nine, died when their father Darren Sykes set fire to the former family home on Tennyson Avenue in Penistone. Sykes also died.
