Barnsley boxers Ben Davies and Jack Churchill closed out the year with important wins at the Metrodome on Friday night.

Middleweight Davies, 27, and 24-year-old featherweight Churchill posted wins on a long night of boxing.

Davies closed out the show with a sixth round stoppage of Pole Adam Grabiec. The win ensured Davies made it back-to-back wins on his return from shoulder injury.

He also took home the International Challenge belt after referee Michael Alexander deemed tough Grabiec to be taking too much punishment.

Churchill picked up a 60-54 win over Southampton's Billy Parker.

A one-sided contest looked like it was going the home man's way early on as he regularly hurt Parker along the way to winning every round.

Churchill also got to see future opponent Jason Cunningham in action on the show. He too was victorious and the pair will now meet for the Central Area featherweight title on March 4 at the Doncaster Dome.
