BARNSLEY will feature in tonight’s episode of a dark new documentary fronted by Barnsley-born actress Katherine Kelly about disturbing murder cases in different towns across the country - see a videp clip here.
Each episode of Murdertown tells a step-by-step story of how a murder was solved.
The fourth episode focuses on Barnsley looking at the death of pensioner John Gogarty, killed in his home in Wombwell, and how police were able to link it to the murder of another pensioner nearly 20 years earlier.
It’s on Monday, 9pm, on the Crime+Investigation channel.
