ENFORCEMENT officers have been given tough powers to target illegal parking and issue fines.
Barnsley area councils' enforcement officers are gearing up to take action against those motorists who have parked badly across the Central, Dearne, North, North East and South areas.
The officers have been targeting hotspot areas for littering and dog fouling, issuing fines to those individuals who have failed to clean up after themselves since August and will now target illegal parking on areas like pedestrian crossings and local high streets.
