A BARNSLEY man has made it though to the final of a national electrical apprentice competition.

Morne Louw, 30, of Willman Road, Lundwood, is one of just eight candidates to make it through to the final stages of the 2018 NICEIC and ELECSA Electrical Apprentice of the Year Competition after 650 budding electricians entered the contest.

He will join the other seven finalists for the competition finale which will take place at the head offices of the competition’s official partner, Scolmore Group on Tuesday, June 5.
