A teenage midfielder from Kingstone is hopeful of playing for her country one day and she certainly has the right surname.
Beth England – who has been a regular starter for Doncaster Belles since she was 16 – spent this week with the England under 20s at the FA's headquarters St George's Park in Burton.
The former Kingstone School Pupil, 19, who played with Barnsley-based boys' team Junior Tykes from age seven to 13, has already represented England under 19s at the World Cup in Turkey in 2012 and is likely to play in the under 20s version in Canada in August.
England is studying a law degree at Manchester St James University and, with women footballers nowhere near as well-paid as their male counterparts, she knows it will be tought to juggle her two careers.
She said: "I would love to play for the England senior team, that is my aim. It will be a difficult balancing act with my career as a lawyer but I have my whole life to study and work, I can only play football until my body gives up on me so I have to make the most of the amazing opportunity that I have been given."
England was relegated from the Women's Super League with Doncaster last season but has started both of their games this season in the new Super League Two, which have been wins.
