EPILEPSY sufferer Sean Leonard is urging people to be positive about the condition and forget the stigma that comes with it.

Sean, 30, of Gawber Road, Barnsley, has suffered from epilepsy since he was 18 months old and gives a lot of his free time up volunteering for Epilepsy Action, giving talks and offering advice to people who suffer from the condition.

Sean, who works as an advisor for construction company Balfour Beatty, said: “I had brain surgery when I was 18 and I have not had a seizure since. I talk to people about the benefits of having surgery and how to control having seizures.”
