IMAGES of six men wanted by police in connection with violent scenes at a Barnsley FC match earlier this year have been released.
The incident occurred during Barnsley’s away fixture against Southend United on Saturday March 2, and saw clashes between Barnsley fans and stewards in the away stand of Southend’s Roots Hall.
It reportedly occurred following stewards’ attempts to remove a Barnsley fan from the stand, according to a spokesman for Essex Police at the time.
Images of the men wanted for questioning by police were released by Essex Police on Tuesday.
