AN event in memory of an 18-month-old toddler who died of meningitis B just three hours after the telltale rash appeared is being held.
Hundreds are expected to show up for the fundraising walk, which will start at The Victoria pub, Cudworth, at 2pm on June 25 for Mia Barton Bright.
The event, organised by Mia’s family, is aiming to raise vital funds for Meningitis Now, the charity who supported Mia’s parents, Matthew and Rebecca, of Bretton View, Cudworth, after the tot’s death on March 9.
Rebecca said: “Everyone’s been brilliant and we’re keen on raising more awareness for the charity. Family members are planning on doing a skydive in November after this walk around Cudworth.
“The charity has been a great help to us and they’re always just a phone call away. We’re welcoming more people to join us on June 25 as there’ll be more than 100 in attendance.”
