EVEREST hero Les Binns hopes to make the most of his ‘twice in a lifetime’ opportunity to climb the world’s highest mountain after more than £33,000 was raised to help return him to the top of Mount Everest.

Les was forced to abandon his dream to reach the summit last year just 400m from the top when a life or death situation unfolded in front of his eyes.

He made headlines around the world when he saved the life of stranger Sunita Hazra, who faced certain death after getting into trouble on her descent back down the mountain, and he bravely fought to help Subhash Paul, who sadly didn’t make it.

After abandoning his expedition to help others, a fund-raising campaign was launched to help Les try again, and all remaining funds will go to ABF The Soldiers Charity.
