THE band who were the first to play live on a matchday at Oakwell will return to the stadium ahead of tomorrow’s South Yorkshire derby.

The Rosadocs, who feature Lundwood lad Callum Raynor on drums, entertained fans before last season’s home match against Sunderland in March.

And they will return to the stadium tomorrow ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to Barnsley in the Championship.

“We’re really excited to be back and a huge thank you to Barnsley FC for giving us this platform,” said Callum, 22. “The game we played at last year was massive, but this one is on another level. A South Yorkshire derby at Oakwell, for a local lad, it doesn’t get much better.”

Last time out Barnsley fan Callum, joined by his bandmates who hail from various areas of Yorkshire and the Midlands, saw his team play out a 0-0 draw in their promotion-winning League One season.

Tomorrow’s fixture sees the second-from-bottom Reds in more dire straits as they face their 11th-placed neighbours, seven points adrift from safety.

The band will start up at 1.10pm and play three songs before the 1.30pm kick-off.

They will go on to play at the Leadmill in Sheffield next Saturday before taking to the stage at Leeds’ O2 Academy on February 27.
