BARNSLEY versus Oldham on December 29 may not seem like a big fixture, but Reds fan Cat Jacobs and her Oldham-supporting husband Paul are jetting 4,000 miles from Canada for the fixture at Oakwell - with each supporting the opposite side.

Cat, 47, said the couple had planned to visit this year but booked as soon as they saw when the match had been scheduled, adding: "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, pitting sibling against sibling and husband against wife. We contacted the clubs to see if our kids could be mascots.

"For that day only my son, Liam, ten, will be representing Latics and his two sisters, Laura, 12, and Sarah, six, will be representing Barnsley. Usually they support both teams to keep us happy."
