TWO young boys are hoping to see their mum for the first time in three months when she flies in from the USA today, but don’t know if immigration will allow her through.

Liam Smith is hoping to be allowed to bring his wife Katlyn home to Barnsley, but still doesn’t know if she will be granted entry after being denied a visa to settle here.

The couple have been married for seven years and have two sons, one of who was born in Barnsley, but immigration officers have told them they think the relationship is a sham.

“They’ve denied my wife’s visa on the grounds that they believe our relationship is fake,” said Liam, 25, of Fulford Close, Darton.

“Our two children and almost seven years of marriage is obviously not enough evidence.”

A petition on the website Change.org calling for the Home Office to change its decision has more than 500 signatures. Click here to view it.
