FINAL details are being brought together in the design of the new £4m Barnsley library.

The library, designed to be ‘the beacon of the town’, will have floor to ceiling windows to allow light to illuminate the new public town square which will be directly in front of it.

It is one of a number of key project milestone set out by the Better Barnsley team for the coming months as the town centre regeneration scheme continues to gather pace.

Detailed final plans for the library are expected next month.
