TRAFFIC was at a standstill when a fire broke out on an industrial estate.

Police and fire services were called to Valley Road Industrial estate at 6.10pm on Tuesday following reports that a portable cabin was on fire.

Four fire engines and a turntable ladder attended the scene, and the blaze had begun to spread to a number of vehicles and then began to spread to the adjacent warehouse.

The warehouse had been home to Right Logistics Limited, a company which has been dissolved since 2016. The business was involved in aluminium production.

Firefighters were called around 6.10pm and various crews worked together to stop the spread and ensure the main building, inside, was unaffected.

Nobody was injured in the incident and the fire was out by 10.15pm. The warehouse building inside was unaffected.

A fire investigation took place on Wednesday morning and the cause of the fire has been logged as accidental.
