IF CURIOSITY killed the cat then it certainly got the better of this little lady.

Daisy, the ten-week-old French Bulldog puppy, gave her owners quite a when she went to investigate the inside of a settee and got her head well and truly stuck.

Try as they might her owners Sean Malbon and Cathy Godfrey just could not get her out.

After all their attempts to free her failed they called out the experts - South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

Shortly after they made the call fire-ighters from Tankersley Station arrived at their home in Marsala Walk, Darfield.

Watch manager Rob Holmes quickly assessed the situation and quickly established that Daisy’s head was lodged in the settee's reclining mechanism.
