FIREFIGHTERS from Cudworth Fire Station responded to reports that three vans were on fire in Barnsley on Saturday night.
A call was made at 9.30pm and the crew arrived shortly afterwards.
The crew discovered that a Volkswagen van was well alight at Burton Road, Monk Bretton, and flames from it had spread to two vans parked nearby.
Firefighters remained at the scene for an hour and 10 minutes. A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it is believed the fire had been started deliberately.
