THERE are not that many families who get to see five generations gathered together under one roof - but here is a family who have done it not once, but twice.

The birth of baby Layla Rose prompted a family get together which saw matriarch Betty Schofield, 84 visited at her home in Upperwood Road, Darfield by four more generations.

Joining in the celebrations was her daughter Lorraine Watson, 65, from Spencer Street, Barnsley, her daughter Annette Johnson, 44 of Copperdale Road, Wombwell, her daughter Kayleigh Johnson 22, from Judy Row, Monk Bretton with the latest addition to the family Layla Rose.It was only when the get together was over that Kayleigh pointed out there had been a similar family gathering after her birth- and she has retrieved the photographic evidence.

The then baby Kayleigh was pictured in the Chronicle 22 years ago with her mum, Annette, grandma Lorraine, great grandma Betty and great-great-grandfather Arthur Schofield, who was then aged 85.
