FLY-TIPPING in Barnsley has rocketed by 41 per cent with the clean-up cost last year hitting £250,000, council bosses have been told.
Incidents in the borough swelled from 2,162 in 2013/14 to 3,057 in 2014/15.
The clean up cost didn’t include the cost of additional services area councils have set on to remove litter and fly-tipped waste.
