A FATHER and son duo have teamed up to work on a new housing development in Monk Bretton.
The Stonegarth estate, which is being built by Bellway, has recently welcomed apprentice joiner Declan Martin, whose dad Simon is the site’s assistant manager.
Declan, who joined Bellway just seven weeks ago, is already hoping to follow in his dad’s footsteps and move up the ranks in the company.
Simon said: “It’s fantastic - I see him around the site constantly as I oversee all the activity and it makes me so proud to watch him working and developing his skills.”
Sales manager Melanie Smith added: “Having both Simon and Declan working on the development is great. They are both incredibly hard workers and do everything they can to ensure great build quality and customer satisfaction.
“I’m sure that by following his dad’s example Declan will have a very positive and successful future with Bellway.”
