FORMER offices in Barnsley are set to be converted into 170 flats.

Proposals have been submitted to the council for the conversion of Joseph Locke House on Heelis Street by Empire Property Concepts.

The planning application states the building is currently empty and was formerly used by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. It was last operational in May 2013.

It is currently up for sale on Rightmove for £2,250,000.
