A FOSTERING agency has opened a new office in Barnsley.

Three Circles Fostering is a family-run agency, first established in the North West by a team with a wealth of professional experience in fostering, social work and education.

The new office is based in Wharncliffe Business Park, Carlton.

Three Circles is run by David Edwards, registered manager, Elaine Oakes, Yorkshire office manager and Victoria Lally, recruitment social worker.

“We believe that success in education for children and young people is crucial to their life-chances, and is a key factor in enhancing the stability and quality of their foster placements,” said David.

“Therefore, our highest priority is ensuring that all their foster children and young people are provided with an additional package of educational support, including a qualified teacher tutor, by the National Teaching and Advisory service.”

Elaine added: “Three Circles Fostering believe that every child should live in a nurturing and supportive family who will keep them safe and encourage them to realise their dreams.

“We offer extensive support and training, and excellent pay, to our foster carers and work in partnership with local authorities to provide family- based placements for children and young people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.”

Speaking about what the agency will bring to Barnsley, Victoria said: “Our aim is to enable Barnsley children to continue to live in the Barnsley area with caring and nurturing families, where they feel accepted, supported, and valued, which also helps to maintain their current identity, family and friend relationships.

“We therefore want to create a diverse family of foster carers from different racial, cultural, religious and LGBT communities, including single carers, representative of the Barnsley area.”
